Pencils Down
Pencils Down are a local Connecticut guitar-pop band rooted in collaborative creation, longtime scene involvement, and a playful, energetic approach to performance and songwriting. Their live shows have built momentum, and they’re now recording their first EP while continuing to integrate into the local live music community.
Pencils Down is comprised of Casey Alger (vocals/guitar), whose hook-filled songs and high-energy presence lead the charge; Syd Scelfo (lead guitar), adding chiming riffs and jangly texture; James Burke (bass), providing melodic low-end and steady drive; and Glen Metcalfe (drums), whose dynamic, propulsive playing keeps the band moving fast and loud.

Believe It, It’s Easy are a Connecticut–based indie-pop-punk band known for warm melodies, dynamic guitars, and emotionally honest songwriting. Their sound blends the introspection of emo with the catchy hooks and driving rhythms of pop-punk, moving seamlessly between reflective moments and soaring, high-energy choruses, creating an experience that resonates long after the music stops.
