Freq Scene
Freq Scene is an improvised modular synth project featuring James Burke, Dave Freeburg, and Noise To Most.
Working entirely in real time, the trio builds evolving electronic pieces through modular systems patched and reshaped on the spot. Oscillators, filters, noise sources, and sequencers are manipulated live, allowing rhythms and textures to emerge organically rather than following fixed arrangements. The result moves between pulse-driven patterns, drifting ambient stretches, and moments of raw signal and distortion.
Each performance is different, shaped by interaction between the players and the systems themselves. Freq Scene leans into exploration and subtle shifts in tone, creating a set that rewards close listening while still carrying a steady, physical undercurrent.
Inhex
Inhex is a live electronic project rooted in improvised and hardware-based performance. The group focuses on shaping sound in real time using hardware synths, sequencers, and noise sources, letting texture and movement develop organically rather than through preset compositions. Their sound spans shifting rhythms, ambient washes, and tactile electronic tones that come from hands-on interaction with gear.
On stage Inhex responds to the moment, letting small adjustments and live tweaking guide the evolution of each set. The result feels exploratory and atmospheric, blending structured pulses with unpredictable modular elements that draw listeners into the process.
