Dallas Wax is a five-piece band based in New York City. The band borrows from the spaces of punk rock, psychedelia, and the blues while maintaining a unique delivery and raucous live performance. Dipped in acid and powered by driven guitar riffs and soulful vocals, Dallas Wax never fails to conjure an unforgettable experience for their audience.

Pencils Down

Pencils Down are a local Connecticut guitar-pop band rooted in collaborative creation, longtime scene involvement, and a playful, energetic approach to performance and songwriting. Their live shows have built momentum, and they’re now recording their first EP while continuing to integrate into the local live music community.

Pencils Down is comprised of Casey Alger (vocals/guitar), whose hook-filled songs and high-energy presence lead the charge; Syd Scelfo (lead guitar), adding chiming riffs and jangly texture; James Burke (bass), providing melodic low-end and steady drive; and Glen Metcalfe (drums), whose dynamic, propulsive playing keeps the band moving fast and loud.

They’ve been steadily showing up on bills around the state, building a reputation through tight, no-frills live sets.
